The Combilift company was started by two engineers, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. Between them, they had over four decades of experience in engineering when they founded the business during 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than a decade, Combilift became a leader in the global long-load handling market, delivering machinery to more than 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted international network of distributors that have helped expand distribution into many markets all around the globe and using their extensive experience and knowledge, Moffett and McVicar have made machinery that had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009 and are in high demand.
Below is a summary of some of the Combilift models.
There are a variety of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these machines provide as much as nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Engines are available in gas or LPG, diesel, and electric or battery and the C-Series Combilifts can operate within guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
Combilift Straddle Carriers offer the ability to move heavy, oversized cargo like fully loaded containers which weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads could be transported all around a work site or facility and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from the trailer to the ground, from the ground to the trailer, or from trailer to trailer. These kinds of machines are an efficient, cost effective solution for many shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are machines capable of driving in four directions thanks to its multi-directional steering. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic forklift can benefit businesses in many ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have narrower aisles. It also allows the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable kind of truck is normally considered to be a better option as opposed to lots of traditional sit-down sideloaders due to the many added features and capabilities.
