Engineered for Safety
Yale has a great history for offering safe lift trucks which are suitable for a range of applications. The ability to design and make units for better safety comes from the new technology which is available in the company's experience and the material handling industry.
In their latest designs, Yale has started integrating newly available technologies. Several of the new technologies which are available are initially applied to forklift trucks and after that proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company performs various reliability development and controlled field tests in order to make sure that their products are very safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology that has been integrated as standard features for their fleet in order to enhance overall safety comprise the following:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The operator compartment has been engineered with ergonomics in mind, utilizing state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids heavy repetitive motions and fatigue. These added comforts help to increase overall efficiency.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Having adjustable operator's compartment and controls enables the necessary controls to be able to be positioned near a wide range of operators. This helps make the machine user friendly, regardless of who is utilizing it. Prior to beginning their shift, the operator could make sure he or she is as comfortable as she or he can be.
Operator Presence System
The Operator Presence System prevents the hydraulic system operation from being used if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks which have internal combustion engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The LPG tank has a drop down design that brings it out from the vehicle's center to the natural handling position of the operator that makes it way easier to change.
