Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
The audible devices such as motion alarms or back-up alarms produce sound which needs to be loud enough in order to be heard above the sound that the forklift generates in the operating place.
The sound generated by the audio device should be discernible from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other sound or audible devices within the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care should be taken.
Hearing protection makes it trickier to hear the audible device and to determine which distance and direction it is coming from. Audible devices can sometimes get deactivated from employees and operators because they could find them annoying. Moreover, audible devices can also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and reduce other problems. Furthermore, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. Noise levels are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator could choose the performance requirement for the specific application. In addition, it allows a supervisor to set the unit's utmost performance for an operator who is just beginning to learn. Being able to adjust and lessen the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the machine's operating characteristics in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
