Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is designed for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage areas. This kind is suitable for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like for instance warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering very simple.

Generally, the operator of this particular type of forklift stands up inside a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the back. This design enables for easy and fast maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts which come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire equipment. The sit-down version generally has four wheels.

Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Machines that are electrically powered are not noisy and do not make exhaust fumes, making them the suitable alternative for closed places such as retail spaces. Some lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. However, the diesel model is not suggested for indoor application because it could be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
