Reach Truck
In order to keep storage areas tidy and to store pallets of goods and supplies, a reach truck could be utilized. The reach truck is available in quite a few models: the double-deep reach, straddle reach and the stand-up reach.
The stand-up is the most basic. The forks of the truck slide underneath the pallet and move it to the correct storage place. The forks slide the pallet into position. This type of reach truck is suitable when shelving units are one pallet in depth.
Ideal for workplaces where the shelving units are deep enough to have two pallets of goods, the double-deep reach truck, which is like the stand-up, is commonly utilized. This version has telescopic forks designed to put the pallet at the back of the shelving unit. This eliminates the need to push the pallet back when one more pallet must go into the same shelving section.
The additional advantage of straddle reaches is that they could both slide beneath the pallet and grasp the sides as well. These are recommended for workplaces where shelving units are accessible in many directions. This particular model is ideal in conditions where goods will not be damaged if the sides of the pallet are grabbed.
In the majority of warehouses, there are usually more than one kind of reach truck. Textile companies and manufacturing facilities use different types of reach trucks in their supply areas. The reach truck is not hard to utilize and could increase production while maximizing available storage space.
