Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You can usually find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized to move supplies and products around on wooden pallets using metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one person.
Pallet trucks should be operated carefully in order to prevent loss of control while raising heavy loads. Equipment must be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make certain that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to be able to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be in the middle to be able to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is not safe to push the pallet ahead of you since the thrust can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop abruptly. Slowly come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
