Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with various other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were inaccessible by traditional jibs before. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both production and effectiveness.
